But why? At the beginning of the year, we worked on the British\u2019s quintessential drink: tea.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We found out that this supposedly respectable beverage hid a long history of espionage, industrial theft, wars and drugs and that tea played a decisive role in the building of the British Empire. With British adventurers, botanists and diplomats, we embarked on a journey to China, where tea originates from and discovered how tea thrived in India. Lastly, we observed the various ways tea was served depending on your social class.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>to close the chapter, we decided to set up our very own afternoon tea party. Therefore, we brought a variety of British specialties such as finger sandwiches, the Victoria Sponge Cake and of course tea!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This get-together allowed us to share a relaxing and fun experience with our classmates, while remaining in the theme and soaking up British culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MevLBdhAPyM\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous sommes les 1<sup>e <\/sup>3-4 euro anglais et le 21 octobre, Nous nous sommes r\u00e9unis pour un th\u00e9. Mais pourquoi\u00a0? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au d\u00e9but de l\u2019ann\u00e9e, nous nous sommes concentr\u00e9s sur la boisson britannique la plus typique\u00a0: le th\u00e9. Nous avons appris que derri\u00e8re ce breuvage on ne peut plus respectable se cachait une longue histoire d\u2019espionnage, de vol industriel, de guerres et de drogue. Nous avons voyag\u00e9 avec les aventuriers, les botanistes et les diplomates britanniques en Chine, d\u2019o\u00f9 le th\u00e9 est originaire et en Inde o\u00f9 la plante a prosp\u00e9r\u00e9. Enfin, nous avons \u00e9tudi\u00e9 la mani\u00e8re dont le th\u00e9 \u00e9tait servi, selon la classe sociale \u00e0 laquelle on appartenait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour clore le chapitre, nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de boire un th\u00e9. Nous avons donc pr\u00e9par\u00e9 toute une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s britanniques comme les \u00ab\u00a0finger sandwiches\u00a0\u00bb le \u00ab\u00a0Victoria Sponge Cake\u00a0\u00bb et bien s\u00fbr, le th\u00e9\u00a0!
