{"id":18963,"date":"2025-06-09T09:10:12","date_gmt":"2025-06-09T08:10:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ert.tn\/pmf\/?p=18963"},"modified":"2025-06-10T09:49:22","modified_gmt":"2025-06-10T08:49:22","slug":"sortie-oudhna-ferme-biologique-elixir-bio-et-site-antique","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ert.tn\/pmf\/2025\/06\/09\/sortie-oudhna-ferme-biologique-elixir-bio-et-site-antique\/","title":{"rendered":"Sortie Oudhna : ferme biologique Elixir Bio et Site Antique \/ Seconde gr.8+gr.9"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As we\u2019ve studied <strong>WWOOFing<\/strong> (World Wide Opportunities on Organic farms)&nbsp; in English class with Mrs Hamadbachir, we went on a school trip to Oudhna to visit <strong>\u201cDomaine Elixir Bio\u201d<\/strong>, an organic farm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As soon as we got there, we had an organic breakfast composed of traditional bread \u201cMlewi\u201d , honey with&nbsp; typical Tunisian olive oil, a boiled egg, and Sicilian cheese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Once breakfast was over, we split into groups for different workshops:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>making, tasting, and learning about the production of Sicilian cheese,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>learn how to plant and grow rosemary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>distillate four different types of plants: rosemary, geranium, thyme, and lavender,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>discover the benefits of those plants and how they&rsquo;re used in everyday life (medicine, cosmetics).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After those indoor activities, we took a walk to visit the farm and&nbsp; see many animals: goats, sheep, donkeys, cows, horses, chickens, and ducks. We even had the chance to try milking a cow, which was definitely a highlight for some of us !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;As the farm tries to be sustainable, there is a small lake that collects rainwater and there are solar panels too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For lunch, we ate a traditional Tunisian dish: couscous with chicken, made entirely with farm products. Everything we ate was organic and came from the farm itself. After this delicious meal, we had a fun ride through the fields on a tractor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;In the afternoon, we headed just a few minutes away to explore the archaeological site of Oudhna. The site was full of ancient Roman ruins. We walked&nbsp; around huge stone structures&nbsp; and climbed up to the top of the massive amphitheatre. The view was amazing but sadly cloudy and windy .
