Testimony from one of the \u00ab\u00a0Chaperonne\u00a0\u00bb (how we were referred to by the HMUN\u00a0 staff! ) or the\u00a0 more dignified term: \u201c ADVISER\u2026\u201d : Brigitte Khalifa<\/strong><\/p>\n

To express in a few words my impressions of this unique experience is a real challenge<\/strong>: a long process\u00a0 indeed, since last June, with ups and downs, from the registration of the school and the moment when the delegation was assigned the representation of Nigeria, the long and tedious sponsoring activity, the moments when we thought too many obstacles were in our way, and we would not make it, the serious and long club cessions to organize, plan, recap, learn the procedures and the positions, teach rhetoric, and encourage, boost, and sometimes put back on track,\u00a0 including one Saturday debates while enjoying\u00a0 the marvellous\u00a0 food cooked by one delegate\u2019s mother,\u00a0 and the final joy of the departure\u2026..ALL THE WAY FROM CARTHAGE, BOSTON HERE WE GO !!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Once over there, how can we recall\u00a0 in a few lines, the high powered atmosphere, the thousands of delegates from all over the world, milling about the huge hall,\u00a0 talking, debating, exchanging going back and fro\u00a0 from their committees , starting at 9 am and finishing at 11.45pm, just in time to reach the hotel before the curfew!\u00a0 Including during the week end!!<\/p>\n

But above all, I\u2019ll remember the smile on our pupils\u2019\u00a0 faces and the light in their eyes after they realized they had actually overcome this daunting experience : speaking in front of hundreds of others and\u00a0 achieving\u00a0 some of their goals.<\/p>\n

    WORK\u2026very hard work indeed.<\/p>\n

    EXPERIENCE\u2026the one of a life time for so many of us.<\/p>\n

    RESOLUTIONS, \u2026so many of them, reached thanks to RHETORIC.<\/p>\n

    MILLENIALS at work:\u00a0 tomorrow\u2019s\u00a0 leaders..let\u2019s be prepared!<\/p>\n

    ENORMOUS event\u20263700 delegates !!<\/p>\n

    NEGOCIATIONS for NIGERIA\u2026such fun\u00a0 to have represented it!<\/p>\n

    TUNISIA\u2026 the Tunisian flag in Harvard.. proud ambassadors.and\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n

    ENORMOUS.. American way: skyscrapers and hamburgers, malls<\/p>\n

    DREAM come true…for our eager\u00a0 DELEGATES<\/p>\n

    UNITED Nations\u2026 , what else?<\/p>\n

    COMMITTEES\u00a0 and CAUCUSES\u2026\u201dhonourable delegates\u201d.<\/p>\n

    ACHIEVEMENTS and ACCOMPLISHMENT\u2026AWSOME !!<\/p>\n

    TEACHING through TALKING, and it worked!<\/p>\n

    INTERNATIONAL, cultures, ways and means, languages..<\/p>\n

    OVERCOME\u2026fears,\u00a0 self\u00a0 consciousness, doubts\u2026<\/p>\n
